For Pier-2 Art Center, we prepared an immersive projection space for 12,000 people as part of our Artist Residency Exhibition in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

 

Exploring themes of cultural inheritance, "Intertidal" was a series of video portraits and audio interviews of people and landscapes from the local Yancheng District projected onto the floors and walls. Visitors were made to walk through the projections, casting their shadows across the images, suggesting how the past continues to work on us, and we in turn come to influence it.
