In 2022-23, we received a National Geographic Storytelling Grant to document climate solutions and circular economy initiatives on Taiwan. What we came to discover was an island filled with people discovering local solutions to local problems using local materials.

Using a film camera, we created images of the rich array of life happening on the island. Factories, night markets, residences are woven together in a tapestry of color, highlighting the island's versatility, diversity, and resilience. The resulting image is a composition of the island's colors, arranged as a gradient.​
